Constraints on Neutron Skin Thickness and Nuclear Deformations Using Relativistic Heavy-ion Collisions from STAR

چکیده

In these proceedings, we present the measurements of neutron skin thickness and nuclear deformation using isobar $^{96}_{44}$Ru+$^{96}_{44}$Ru $^{96}_{40}$Zr+$^{96}_{40}$Zr collisions at $\sqrt{s_{_{\rm NN}}}=200$ GeV by STAR detector. The significant deviations from unity ratios elliptic flow $v_{2}$, triangular $v_{3}$, mean $p_{\rm T}$ fluctuations $\langle\delta p_{\rm T}^{2}\rangle/\langle T}\rangle^{2}$, asymmetric cumulant ${\rm ac}_{2}\{3\}$ indicate large differences in their quadrupole octuple deformations. produced hadron multiplicity $N_{\rm ch}$, transverse momentum $\langle T}\rangle$, net charge number $\Delta Q$ a halo-type for Zr nucleus, much thicker than Ru consistent with structure calculations. We discuss how extract thickness, symmetry energy slope parameter, parameters data.

Constraining the Skyrme Effective Interactions and the Neutron Skin Thickness of Nuclei Using Isospin Diffusion Data from Heavy Ion Collisions

Recent analysis of the isospin diffusion data from heavy-ion collisions based on an isospinand momentum-dependent transport model with in-medium nucleon-nucleon cross sections has led to the extraction of a value of L = 88±25 MeV for the slope of the nuclear symmetry energy at saturation density. This imposes stringent constraints on both the parameters in the Skyrme effective interactions and ...

Direct Photons from Relativistic Heavy-Ion Collisions

Direct photons have been proposed as a promising signature for the quark-gluon plasma (QGP) formation in relativistic heavy-ion collisions. Recently WA98 presented the first data on direct photons in Pb+Pb-collisions at SPS. At the same time RHIC started with its experimental program. The discovery of the QGP in these experiments relies on a comparison of data with theoretical predictions for Q...

Heavy Ion Collisions by STAR

We present the first measurement of reconstructed jets in ultra-relativistic heavy ion collisions. Utilizing the large coverage of the STAR Time Projection Chamber and Electromagnetic Calorimeter, we apply several modern jet reconstruction algorithms and background subtraction techniques and explore their systematic uncertainties in heavy ion events. The differential spectrum for inclusive jet ...

Modeling Magnetic Field in Heavy ion Collisions Using Two Different Nuclear Charge Density Distributions

By studying the properties of matter during heavy-ion collisions, a better understanding of the Quark-Gluon plasma is possible. One of the main areas of this study is the calculation of the magnetic field, particularly how the values of conductivity affects this field and how the field strength changes with proper time. In matching the theoretical calculations with results obtained in lab, two diffe...
